Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Wilkes-Barre is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Wilkes-Barre is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We chose Cafe Toscana for my daughter's birthday meal. The food was excellent. I had head and neck cancer surgery in December, and eating has been a chore. This meal was my comeback and a joy from start to finish. First, I had the Tri Color salad (arugula, goat cheese and beets). I had a traumatic food experience half a century ago when a beet was served in a meatball sandwich at the cafeteria in my workplace. I've had a strong aversion to beets since then. Last night I took a deep breath before my first bite. I'd beaten cancer twice. I'll be damned if I'll be beaten by beets. It was love. The beet ban is over. I followed up with a hot bowl of pasta e fagioli. It was delicious but not thick, which was ideal for me. The thick pasta e fagioli I've had over the years would be difficult for me now. This was a wonderful bowl of joy. My chicken Verona? Excellent, with just the right amount of prosciutto and a lovely sherry wine sauce. I ate but half for two reasons: 1) I can't eat large portions any more. In fact, my family has to prod me to eat at ALL some days. 2) I wanted room for dessert, a tartufo bomba and an Irish coffee with whiskey. I haven't had any alcoholic beverage in

1st time here.Atmosphere very calm and quiet. Amazing service glad to see the team work. Food amazing my husband got the veal marsala. He said it melted in his mouth. I got the cheese tortellini with mushroom and peas. Portion size on both were perfect. The melted butter for the bread was amazing. Their version of mozzarella sticks was like mini grill cheese and tomato bisque. Very delicious

The food was outstanding, pricing was very reasonable. The crusty bread with oil dip was so good I wish they sold it for a take out item. Our entrees came with very generous portions & the cocktails were very good. It truly was a great dining experience.

So we accidentally get to this town which with all do respect did not seem to be the best quality place on this planet. We asked for good place to eat and were recommended to here. Food is very good if not better. The fish we had, were both excellent, nothing to complained as it was very well cooked seasoned and freshly served. Starters were also excellent. We both had shrimp, but different styles. Sauces were delicious. Service is ok, but upscale place like, therefore donβt count on too much friendly easy going chats. Everything was correct and polite. I guess they want it this way, which is good. The place is not cheap, but thought the quality we got, deserved the money.

Authentic Italian food. I came here around 2019 and loved it. I was concerned it might not be the same; however I was just as impressed as before. The lasagna might have even increased in flavor and overall quality since last time. The braised beef ravioli is also a delectable meal. Only problem was there were only two servers for the whole restaurant, so it was a little slow - no fault to them. Overall, this is a great place for a dinner date. Dress up and come hungry. It's a comfy atmosphere with your classic Italian restaurant feel.
